The East Africa Fashion awards themed ‘Fashion Meets Culture’ will hold on the 28th of March in Kampala-Uganda.
The awards which celebrate the achievements of the various fashion stakeholders that have made remarkable contributions towards the development of the East African Fashion market have selected nominees in various fashion categories.
The nominees for Fashion Week of the year are Kampala fashion week, Swahili fashion week, Kigali fashion week, Collective RW and Strategic Fashion Development Consortium.
The nominees for Male Fashion Designer of the year includes John Kaveke, Martin Kadinda, Matthew Rugamba, Joe Malaika, Moses Turahirwa, Kaijuka Abbas, Kulwa Mkwandule and Vinn Clizz.
East Africa’s Female Fashion Designer Of The Year includes Fatumah Asha, Akinyi Odongo, Monica Kansiime, Jamilla Vera Swai, Linda Mukangoga, Rwema Laurene, Aulgah Nato, Kiki Zimba.
Nominees for East Africa’s Fashion & Design Training Institute Of The Year includes YMCA, Nkumba University, Mcensal School Of Fashion, Malaika Institute, Kyambogo University, Makerere University.
