I hope you, your loved ones, and your colleagues are keeping well through this barely imaginable crisis. It’s disorienting, for sure, but we are getting on with it. There is a lot of work to be done still.

As we get into our new page for the publication , its important to let you know that not much is changing indeed since our inception 12 months ago but lets get into it:

What is a system? , A System is:

  1. a set of things working together as parts of a mechanism or an interconnecting network; a complex whole.
  2. a set of principles or procedures according to which something is done; an organized scheme or method.

The above is the premise under which System was founded , we are really a System!

What is theSystem * :

theSystemMagazine is a print publication and online platform featuring inspiring conversations with today’s artists, makers, and risk-takers. Focusing on beginnings, creativity, and risk, theSystem * provides a memorable look into the lives of its subjects via long-form interviews, short features, film-based projects, and events.

theSystem * was founded upon the philosophy of creating something insightful for our members, with the premise being to originate and foster new frontiers.

What has changed though?

Direction and Ethos

We have moved to a new focus , : theSystem * will now be a predominantly conversational platform , focusing on intimate conversations with the change makers of today , we are introducing digital op-ed articles , short films , narrative photography , a list and a online Gallery.

Logo

Our new logo took a minimalist approach featuring the Arial font in bright white lettering featuring an asterisk and lying on a dark green background to signify a breeding ground for progressive ideas.
